API change history

This is a mega dictionary of Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes that extends the 4 digit version you are probably familiar with to a 6 digit code that offers even more categorization and classification. Both the normal 4 digit code and the 6 digit code are searchable by the code itself or keywords in the description of the code. Want to find all the barber shops in your neighborhood? Start here to find the code then use the /companies API to find all the business with that code and are within 5 miles of your current location!

By specifying "preferred=true" in the query string the SIC results will only contain the preferred SICs for the supplied keyword.
